NewTex Energy conducts its operations in such a manner that it controls hazards and minimizes risk to the environment and to the health and safety of employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
NewTex Energy, LLC is committed to achieving and maintaining best in class operations. We are aware of the hazards inherent in all projects and set forth strategies to eliminate and/or protect against these hazards. We evaluate and plan all activities to ensure the safest jobsite possible prior to work commencing. We evaluate all safety concerns at the beginning of a project and complete a daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for each job function. As each project progresses we implement all safety measures necessary to support our commitment to an injury free workplace.
Management's Commitment to Safety
Any policy or procedure is only as good as its implementation. Management will be actively involved with all employees in establishing and maintaining an effective safety program company wide. Members of our management team will participate with projects and employees in program activities that include but are not limited to the following:
- Promote safety program participation by all employees
- Develop and maintain a Safety Committee
- Provide safety and health education and training
- Adopt, review, and updating workplace safety rules and regulations
- Provide the financial resources necessary to promote a safe workplace
Stop Work Authority
It is the duty and the right of every employee at NewTex Energy to exercise a ‘Stop Work’ intervention whenever any employee, person(s), equipment, or local environment are at risk; or when there is a possibility of risk to the life, health, or safety of the individual(s) within the work environment.
Work has to stop IMMEDIATELY when a ‘Stop Work’ order is called. Work will not resume until all safety aspects are cleared to the satisfaction of the employee who initiated the ‘Stop Work’ order and the area manager.
